Cauriol is an independent chorus and has nothing to do with sport, alpine or military associations, even though there have always been several "Alpini", with whom the chorus has always been in deep connection. The senior ones will never forget Gen. Vigliero, who had always a great liking for the members of the chorus.
Still nowadays the friends of Associazione Nazionale Alpini (Alpini National Association), even though not all the singers have worn the typical "penna" (feather) in their hats, consider the whole chorus one of them, and often want it to take part in their meetings.
The chorus has ben invited to several local Alpini's meetings and has had the onor to take part in national ones in Genova, Verona, Treviso, Milano, Torino and La Spezia. It is quite natural that Cauriol has been involved in every Alpine meetings more or less officially, as Alpini's songs are still full of history, culture and feelings, and the chorus is willing to save and emphasize that patrimony.
But the most touching moment of meetings is not only the impressive parade at the end of the meeting itself, but aboveall the previous evening when everybody is deeply moved meeting other groups, exchanging happy or sad memories of past times, when friendship and human warmth are deeply felt.
In the annals of the chorus you can find an unforgatable concert: the one given at the Teatro Lirico in Milano during the 1972 meeting celebrating the centenaryot the foundation of "Alpini" troops.
In a theatre overcrowded with an attentive audience, singing some of the most beautiful Alpini's songs, Cauriol stirred up moments of deep emotions among the "Alpini" from America as wel as admiration among some french "Chasseurs des Alpes" and swiss and austrian "Alpenjäger".
