Our Maestro

At the beginning, Cauriol - as well as all other new choruses - sang SAT songs, that are still part of its "repertiore". However since 1953,when in Genova at the "Exhibition of life in the Open Air" the Cauriol sang "Stamattina mi sono alzata" and the "Tabachīna" (winning with the latter the first prize for the best harmonization), they searched for tunes, that later were sung in theatres, collected in a volumes and mostly recorded. Nowadays Monte Cauriol has a "repertoire" of over two hundred and fifty original songs. The original harmonizations ot the chorus, known as "Cauriol harmonization", are Armando Corso's work, and "Mister Cauriol" is the chorus "Maestro" himself. In this important musical work of his, Armando Corso prefered to remain anonymous in orther to leave all the merit to the chorus.
